Here is a game you may not have heard of, its called “Scurge: Hive”. It has been credited to have similarities to Methoid but don’t fret, there is a lot more to this game. Scurge will surely not disappoint you, infact I would not be surprised if you decide this would be one of your favorite Nintendo DS or Gameboy games. Filled with adventures and a female character to keep you along.
This game has an interesting twist to its character name Jenosa Arma. She is infected with a biological weapon, a deadly virus called Scurge that sucks the life and brains out of its victims. And that is just the start to what this game is all about. There are puzzles and enemies to kill. A timer that will surely keep you at the edge of your seat.
The graphics are good for a handheld, just don’t expect much details. The music could be better, but does it job to keep you going. The one major gripe is the lack of weaponry. Jenosa Arma is equipped with some basic stuff and they can be inefficient to fight the bosses and other enemies. You will need to keep Jenosa Arma health at a steady peace by attending disinfecting chambers (which also double as save points) or face death.
Cheap Game Reviews gives it a 7.5 out of 10. With a light playing role-playing game feel, this game has its charms. The cost of the game averages out to about $15.00 brand new, about $8.00-$10.00 cheaper used. Not bad, for a game that will surely keep you busy and wanting more from its developer - Orbital Media.
